Developing Advanced Controlled Environment Agriculture Facilities Nationwide
It’s been long established that traditional farming strategies cannot meet the needs of the world’s growing population. With most land suitable for farming already being farmed and much of it nutrient deficient, the growth in demand can only be met by more efficient, higher yields. Just as skyrocketing energy costs and shortages sparked the growth of a multi-billion industry of new energy production technologies, the demand for higher yields of nutritious quality food has created explosive worldwide growth in the development of food production technologies. Those who identified this problem early quickly leaped to the forefront of this technology revolution. Now a worldwide scramble to ‘catch up and surpass’ has spawned agricultural growth systems that annually produce up to 10 times the amount of produce in the same area as traditional open-air systems through Controlled Environment Agriculture systems (“CEA”).
